Fidelity Manufacturing is Hiring a Buyer Near Ocala, FL

FIDELITY MANUFACTURING is part of the backup Power Generation Industry. We design and build back up power packages (to include tanks and enclosures) for large and small health, industrial, and technology-oriented businesses that cannot have a power lapse at any time.
Purchasing Buyer
We are looking for the perfect candidate to expand our Purchasing team!
Applicants should be:
  • Complete a pre-employment drug screening.

  • Able to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions.
  • Able to work well individually or in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
OverviewThe buyer is responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with Fidelity’s needs for cost-effective raw materials, tools, parts, and supplies to support engineering and production. Responsible to create and analyze reports to make effective procurement decisions. Manages targeted in stock position for all assigned suppliers and/or categories to provide efficient service to internal and external customers.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Assist in all aspects of the purchase process, including maintaining a network of reliable suppliers, cost analysis, sourcing, quotations, timely order placement, monitoring of order delivery timelines, and resolving any discrepancies or delivery issues.
  • Work with vendors/suppliers to ensure accurate and on time delivery of goods, including making schedules, writing and fulfilling purchase orders, and estimating costs.
  • Immediate notification to Purchasing Manager of any potential delay of material delivery dates.
  • Track all orders to fulfillment and expedite as necessary based on the production schedule needs.
  • Maintain accurate files in regards to lead times, pricing, order confirmations, and other vendor related issues.
  • Continuously improve upon processes and offer solutions to best support the organization and increase overall efficiency and effectiveness of the purchasing team.
  • Perform other duties which may be required by Purchasing Manager.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field such as business, finance, accounting or supply management, or high school diploma and 3 years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications/Training
  • Proficiency at using computer systems (e.g. MS Office programs, ERP and other IT applications as trained/required).
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately track and manage shipments, and documentation, ensuring all logistical tasks are executed with precision.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to effectively prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with internal teams, external partners, and customers, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the purchasing process.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including warehouse personnel, production personnel, and transportation providers, to achieve timely deliveries of orders.
Salary: $50 - 55K / yr

Please note: All employees must also be able to work in a warehouse setting that includes exposure to noise, all weather conditions, small levels of airborne particles and occasionally lift more than 50-75lbs.
